About J Curtis Ceramics

Jess is an American based ceramicist and gardener. Her work is designed and produced in her Massachusetts studio.

Ceramics was largely self taught after having attended graduate school to pursue a Ph.D in Molecular Genetics but leaving to raise their children full time. Jess began taking classes and attending workshops in ceramics and eventually set up her own studio.

Her work is largely inspired by nature and its natural organic forms. Each piece is formed using primarily the pinch and coil methods and hold a quiet stillness.
